The Alentejo is a vast region which covers one third
of Portugal. The northern boundary is formed by river
Tagus and to the south by the mountains of the Algarve.
To the east lies Spain and the west opens to the Atlantic
Ocean.

Motorways and highways make this an easy to get to region.
To appreciate the real Alentejo though you will have to leave
the main road and drive through a picturesque countryside
of cornfields, vineyards and olive groves.
